Alignment Professional Services provides Notarial services as a commissioned Notary for the State of Kentucky and provides Advisory Services; therefore, we are not authorized to provide any legal advice nor drafting of legal document(s). This is considered the unlawful practice of law (UPL). Please consult with an attorney if you have a question regarding the drafting of legal documentation.
As a commissioned notary for the State of Kentucky, I am authorized to refuse any notarial act if the signer is not physically present, lacks appropriate documentation, or lacks capacity or willingness to sign.
Terms & Conditions
General Notary Services:
1. Payment for notary services are required at the time of booking. Note: Mobile service, after-hour appointments, or emergency appointment fees are priced separately than booking for notary services.
2. There are no refunds once notary service is administered.
3. No refund of Mobile service fees if service is cancelled after arrival but prior to rendering of service.
4. Proctor exams are billed based on notarization and the time needed to validate the exam completion.
Advisory Services:
1. Initial Consultation: A $50 deposit is required for scheduling initial consultation. Cancellation 48 hours prior to appointment time will forfeit half of the deposit. The deposit will go towards total service fees thus making initial consultation free unless no other service is booked.
2. Services Rendered & Cancellations:
a. Hourly Rates - Billed per hours completed after each session. Any services cancelled prior to the completion of the agreement will be billed per time completed per hourly rate and project will be cancelled with no deliverable(s).
b. Packages - Half of the package cost is required at the start of the service and second half prior to completion or term. Cancellation of service prior to completion results in loss of payment received at the time of cancellation. Project that are cancelled there will be no deliverable(s).
What to include in Initial Meeting
During initial call, be prepared to share the nature of the document or service, how many notarial acts is needed, location, and confirmation of valid identification. This information determines if I can complete the request and determines price including all applicable fees. Also, ensure all signing parties understand the document that is being signed.
